The Library is the name of the face-down stack of cards from which cards are drawn.
Stanley's Pot is a shared zone of face-up cards without any specific order. There is only one Stanley's Pot within a game no matter the player count. However, it is usually more convenient to make multiple piles of Stanley's Pot cards. Placing a card into Stanley's Pot is referred to as “potting”
To begin the first game in a match, the first thing that you should do is deal each player 15 cards
Each player selects 7 cards to keep and places the other 8 cards face up in Stanley's Pot. Both players should put their unwanted cards into Stanley's Pot at the same time. Otherwise, knowing what cards your opponent doesn't want will give an advantage to the other player who is still deciding which cards to keep.
After both players have decided which cards to keep, determine which player is required to go first using random chance
The player who goes first begins the game at 16 life, and the player that goes second begins the game at 20 life
